As preparations intensify for the congresses and the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and APC governors are currently engaged in a high-level meeting.
The meeting, which is being held behind closed doors at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, is part of broader consultations by the party leadership ahead of the APC National Convention scheduled for March 2026.

Members of the party’s highest administrative body were led to the meeting by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Governors attending the meeting under the platform of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) include the forum’s chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma. Also present are Governors Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Mohammed Idris of Kebbi, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, among others.

While the official agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, party sources revealed that discussions are expected to focus on the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise, the organization of ward and local government congresses, as well as other key national and internal party matters.
