The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State is mourning the sudden death of its Assistant Publicity Secretary, Karamo Yesiro.
Yesiro passed away barely 24 hours after he was re-elected to the party’s state executive committee during the APC state congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium.

The party announced his death in a statement issued on Wednesday night, March 5, 2026, by State Publicity Secretary Seye Oladejo.

The APC described the loss as shocking and deeply painful, noting that Yesiro’s energy and dedication to the progressive movement were needed most at this time.
He was praised for his loyalty, humility, enthusiasm, and strong belief in the ideals of the APC.

“Although his tenure was tragically cut short, his humility, enthusiasm, and readiness to serve left a lasting impression on colleagues and members across the state,” the statement read.

“He was a vibrant party man whose contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Lagos State will not be forgotten.”
The Lagos APC leadership extended condolences to Yesiro’s family, political associates, friends, and supporters, praying for strength and comfort in the face of the irreparable loss.
The party said it stands united in mourning his departure and will remember him for his service, commitment, and belief in the progressive cause.
