Aregbesola Challenges Tinubu in Lagos, Vows to Mobilise Against President in 2027

Former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has once again reaffirmed his determination to work towards unseating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, where he received thousands of defectors from various political parties into the ADC, Aregbesola hailed the growing acceptance of the coalition party by Nigerians. He described the mass defections as evidence of a collective desire to end President Tinubu’s hold on power after his first term.

The former governor accused the Tinubu administration of being responsible for the current economic hardship, insisting that Nigerians must rally behind the ADC’s “bold movement” to restore the nation’s democracy.

“What we are witnessing today is the people’s rejection of hardship and failed governance. The ADC has become the platform for Nigerians who believe that President Bola Tinubu must not remain in power beyond 2027,” Aregbesola declared.

He stressed that the coalition party was building momentum across the country and would offer a credible alternative capable of addressing the nation’s challenges.
