#Asiwaju’s Visit To Obasanjo: Closed Door Meeting With Only Six Persons. (Details)

The closed door meeting held between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Former President Obasanjo was highly confidential as only seven people were allowed inside to be a part of this epoch making meeting. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidential Candidate, H.E Governor Dapo Abiodun, H.E Former Governor Ogun State. Olusegun Osoba, H.E Former Governor Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Hon Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Hon Bisi Akande, His Royal Majesty the Olubara of Ibara, His Royal Majesty the Olugbon. It was a restricted close door meeting and all other big wigs were not allowed entry into the meeting. However, Headlinenews was able to get the verified information regarding the salient points of this meeting.

 

Chief Obasanjo did not hide his disappointment in Asiwaju’s distance from him. He expressed himself on other issues which hurt him. Asiwaju responded that he was human with different characteristic traits like everybody as nobody is perfect. He apologised for any action considered offensive. Osoba appealed to Obasanjo to draw Asiwaju closer because they are both Yorubas, Kabiyesi who is Obasanjo’s bosom friend and classmate from youth appealed to Obasanjo to forgive and support Asiwaju for the best interest of the Yorubas and Nigeria. It was an interesting meeting and Obasanjo’s heart melted towards his ‘aburo’. They ate pounded yam and had a lot of fun afterwards. Obasanjo has always been reputed to be a great host. They agreed to convene another meeting to build on the foundation established.

The facilitators of this Reconciliation and reunion did an excellent job and deserve kudos as this gesture has increased the electoral fortune of Asiwaju for 2023.

Governor Dapo Abiodun and his entire cabinet led Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the Stadium where he received all the new decampees to APC Ogun.

After meeting Baba, he took Asiwaju to the Stadium to meet new members.
