BANDITS KIDNAP WOMAN AND INFANT, SHOOT THREE IN MIDNIGHT ATTACK ON KADUNA COMMUNITY

Bandits raided Gidan Tama community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 2:00am on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, abducting several residents — including a married woman and her months-old infant — while shooting and injuring at least three others.

The heavily armed assailants stormed homes in the farming community, firing sporadically and causing widespread panic.

Security alert platform Bakatsine confirmed the incident, citing local sources.

“Last night around 2am, bandits attacked Gidan Tama community in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State,” the alert stated.

“Three residents were shot and injured, while several others were abducted including a married woman and her months old infant child.

“This marks the second attack on the community in just 10 days. Residents say they are living in constant fear as security conditions continue to deteriorate.”

The latest assault highlights the persistent insecurity in Southern Kaduna, where banditry, kidnappings, and violent raids remain frequent despite repeated government assurances.
