Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki has dissolved the State Executive Council on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
The governor’s Special Adviser, Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie made this known in a statement saying the dissolution of the council takes immediate effect.
Obaseki expressed appreciation to the outgone members of the council for their service to the government and people of the state.
The governor also said that beginning today, all Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) have been relieved of their appointments.
This comes hours after the much anticipated Local Government Election in Edo state scheduled to hold on Saturday, 6 May, 2023, was postponed to Saturday, 2 September, 2023.
