#BREAKING: Former Kaduna Senator Danjuma La’ah Resigns from PDP

Former Kaduna South Senator, Danjuma La’ah, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after eight years in the Senate.

La’ah submitted his resignation letter on February 4, 2025, to the Ward Chairman of PDP in Mallagum Ward, Kaura Local Government Area.

La’ah’s Statement on His Resignation

In his letter, which was obtained by reporters on Friday, La’ah emphasized that his decision was personal and not influenced by external factors.

“I humbly write to notify the leadership and members of PDP, Mallagum Ward, of my resignation from the party with effect from 04/02/2025.”

“I thank everyone for their support during my eight-year tenure as Senator representing Kaduna South. My resignation is personal and does not affect my relationship with the people.”

He also extended his best wishes to his former party members in their future political endeavors.

Speculations About His Next Move

La’ah’s departure from the PDP has fueled speculation about his next political affiliation, though he has not yet revealed which party he intends to join.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna PDP leadership has remained silent on the development. Efforts to reach the state’s PDP Publicity Secretary, Maria Dogo, for comments were unsuccessful, as she did not respond to calls or messages at the time of this report.
