Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has sacked all commissioners and other public officers impacted by a recent Supreme Court ruling, effective immediately. The announcement was made during a valedictory session with cabinet members in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, as part of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary activities.
Fubara expressed gratitude to the outgoing cabinet for their service over the past two years and reaffirmed his commitment to serve Rivers State with renewed energy. He also called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous nation.
According to Nelson Chukwudi, the governor’s spokesperson, Fubara hosted a private valedictory session at the Government House in Port Harcourt, where he wished all Nigerians a happy Independence anniversary.
