BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Obeys Court Order, Files Defence in Terrorism Trial

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has complied with the directive of the Federal High Court in Abuja to file his defence in the terrorism case brought against him by the Federal Government.

Kanu is currently submitting his defence documents inside the courtroom as instructed by Justice James Omotosho.

Following Kanu’s earlier complaints, the judge ordered that the court registry be temporarily relocated to his courtroom to enable the filing process.

Counsel to the Federal Government, Adegboyega Awomolo, informed the court that he would receive Kanu’s defence documents and respond accordingly.

As of the time of this report, the filing was still ongoing, prompting the judge to stand down proceedings for an hour.

Until now, Kanu had repeatedly refused to present his defence, insisting he must first be shown the specific terrorism law he allegedly violated.
