President Bola Tinubu is in Lagos for a working visit as Nigeria gears up for a subdued 65th Independence Anniversary celebration. The visit follows his attendance at the coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In Lagos, the former seat of government, Tinubu will engage with private sector leaders and senior government officials. On Tuesday, September 30, he will travel to Imo State to commission projects initiated by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
As part of the Independence Day events, the President will also commission the newly renovated National Theatre, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
