Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner at the prestigious ceremony held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on Monday night. He triumphed over Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, and other top contenders.
The French international played a pivotal role in PSG’s historic first Champions League victory in May, recording an impressive 51 goal involvements in 59 matches. His stellar performances earned him Ligue 1 Player of the Season, Ligue 1 Golden Boot, and Champions League Player of the Season titles. Dembélé also contributed to PSG’s dominant campaign, securing the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France, and French Super Cup.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony celebrated the finest talents of the 2024/25 football season, remaining the sport’s most iconic individual award event. Last year, Manchester City’s Rodri won the men’s award, while Barcelona and Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí claimed the women’s prize for the second consecutive year.
