#BREAKING: Three-Storey Building Collapses In Abuja

A three-storey building has collapsed in Kubwa Satellite town, Abuja at midnight on Friday, August, 26 2022.

The building, which was under construction, collapsed at Hamza Abdullahi Street Off Gado Nasco Road.

It was gathered that some persons have been rescued with serious injuries and taken to the General Hospital, the number of casualties is yet unknown.

As of the time of this reporting, security agencies and National Emergency Management Agency officials were on ground trying to rescue those trapped in the rubble.

This is the recent collapse of buildings that has been happening in Nigeria.

Meanwhile last week, It was reported that no fewer than two children died after another building collapsed on Adeleye street, Ladilak in the Bariga area of Lagos.

Confirming the incident in a statement by the permanent secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, revealed that three adult males also sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.

According to Oke-Osanyintolu, “The Agency activated its response to the above incident and upon arrival at the incident scene, discovered that the tank scaffolding of a 2 Storey building collapsed on a bungalow beside it and affected two rooms.

“Unfortunately two children died from the impact. Three adult males sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.“
