President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is meeting with the newly appointed Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
While the agenda has not been disclosed, the discussion is believed to focus on strengthening Nigeria’s security framework.
The Presidency earlier described the new appointments as part of efforts to boost professionalism and efficiency in the armed forces.
Attending the meeting are Lt-Gen Olufemi Oluyede (Chief of Defence Staff), Maj-Gen W. Shaibu (Chief of Army Staff), Rear Admiral I. Abbas (Chief of Naval Staff), Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke (Chief of Air Staff), and Maj-Gen E.A.P. Undiendeye (Chief of Defence Intelligence).
