Former President Muhammadu Buhari will be laid to rest on Monday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
According to TVC, the burial will take place following his passing on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in a London clinic, where he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness.
The news of his death was announced by his former spokesperson, Garba Shehu, in a post on X.
In response, President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the loss and has directed Vice President Kashim Shettima to travel to London. Shettima is to accompany Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria for the burial.
