The National Patriots and HeadlineNews.News extend heartfelt congratulations to Commissioner Patrick Kehinde Longe and AIG Yetunde Longe, the first married couple to serve in the Nigeria Police Force, on their retirement after decades of distinguished and meritorious service.

The couple first met in Kano following their enlistment into the Force, and later married in 1990. Their journey together is one of dedication, courage, and shared service to the nation. In 2022, they both reached a historic milestone when they were promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police on the same day — a remarkable family achievement and a proud moment in the history of the Force.
Commissioner Patrick Kehinde Longe retired in 2023, after a year of service at the Commissioner rank, while AIG Yetunde Longe retired in 2024, capping her illustrious career at the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police. Together, they exemplify integrity, professionalism, and commitment, standing as role models not only to police officers but to all patriots who believe in service to the law, protection of lives, and safeguarding of property.
As pioneers, they leave behind a legacy of excellence, honour, and discipline. Their service has been without blemish and has set a high standard for future generations.
The National Patriots and HeadlineNews.News celebrate their remarkable contribution to the Nigeria Police Force and to the nation. We wish them long, healthy, and fulfilling years in retirement, filled with divine favour, grace, happiness, and prosperity.
In recognition of their extraordinary service, The National Patriots will honour them with an Award and a Special Gift, as a token of appreciation for their patriotic and exemplary dedication.
