Nigerian music star Davido, whose full name is David Adeleke, has publicly called out the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr. Mohammed Abba, over the ongoing political tensions in the state. In a fiery post on his Twitter X account, Davido accused Abba of being a disgrace and suggested that they were both “madder” than him. The outburst came in response to the escalating crisis between APC and PDP members, centered around the attempt by sacked local government chairmen from the APC to reclaim their positions.
Davido’s post read: “Mr Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children! Game on, FUCKER! All of us go mad together!! Werey!!!” He followed up with more anger, calling the commissioner to respect the rule of law and threatening to call him out every day on social media.
The music star’s comments came shortly after gunfire erupted across various local government secretariats on February 17, 2025, as former APC chairmen tried to retake their offices, leading to a clash with PDP members. Davido’s actions were linked to the broader political dispute in the state, where his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has called on President Tinubu to intervene, accusing former Governor Gboyega Oyetola of using security forces to restore the dismissed chairmen.
