Two social media personalities, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, also known as Mr Jollof, were arrested after a physical fight broke out between them during boarding at Asaba International Airport, Delta State.
The arrest was confirmed by Mr Ossai Success, senior special assistant on media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. United Nigeria Airlines also stated that the duo were deboarded and handed over to airport security in line with international safety regulations.
According to the airline, the confrontation occurred on Flight UN0523 to Lagos on 17 November 2025. Crew members and airline officials intervened promptly after the altercation escalated, removing both passengers from the flight manifest pending further review by authorities.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fight occurred during boarding and quickly drew attention, with a video circulating online showing the two personalities engaged in a physical scuffle.
Ossai expressed disappointment over the incident, noting on his Facebook page: “I saw VeryDarkMan being beaten by Mr Jollof this morning at Asaba International Airport. They have been unboarded and arrested. I am really disappointed in both of them for fighting inside an aircraft. This page does NOT support or encourage violence in any form.”
