Donald Trump has shared a heartfelt message about his recent UK state visit, hosted by the Royal Family. The US President visited Windsor from September 16 to 18, 2025, welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla. On Wednesday, Trump posted on his official X account, sharing curated photos from the trip, including his speech at Windsor Castle seated next to Princess Kate, a group photo with First Lady Melania Trump, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, and images from the lavish state banquet held in his honor.
He wrote: “It was great being with King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Royal Family!”
Trump, the first US President invited to the UK twice, previously visited in 2019 during his first presidency, hosted by the late Queen Elizabeth. The recent visit is widely regarded as a success, strengthening the US-UK relationship.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, Trump praised the royals, saying, “I think just being with King Charles. He’s a wonderful guy. I got to know him very well.
” He also highlighted the “beautiful” state banquet, noting, “That was respect for our country.” Trump added that Melania enjoyed her time with Princess Kate, describing her as a “very wonderful person” who has “gone through a lot.” He also praised Prince William and King Charles, calling the trip “lovely” and noting the press was “really nice.”
