Operatives of the Department of State Service, Ogun state command have arrested a Boko Haram commander at Ijaye, Abeokuta, the state capital.
This was gathered from a radio programmme monitored by Headlinenews.news on Sunday
Headlinenews.news gathered that the terrorist arrived Abeokuta from Katsina state initially, to secure a job as a security guard at Ijaye, while gathering intelligence for terrorist attacks.
The security sources said he moved to Abeokuta to set up terrorist cells in the South West region for kidnapping and terror attacks on targets.
Before moving to Abeokuta, the Boko Haram commander was said to have set up terrorist cells in Abuja, Kaduna and Zamfara states.
The security operatives acting on intelligence, moved fast against him and beat him up before he started recruiting people to set up the cells in the South west region.
However, security sources hinted that the terrorist was still in their custody.
