The directive was announced late Monday through a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor. The suspension takes immediate effect, and all affected officials are barred from performing any official duties or signing documents during the period.

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has directed that the underlisted government functionaries proceed on a one-month working suspension without salary for failure to attend an important government function,” Uzor stated.

All affected commissioners have been instructed to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries. Likewise, suspended permanent secretaries must withdraw from all administrative duties pending the end of their suspension.
