A Senator representing Bayelsa West senatorial District, Seriake Dickson has been quizzed by the detectives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over corruption allegations.
Dickson, who is a two-time Governor of Bayelsa state presented himself to the EFCC at the commission’s office in Jabi Abuja, Tuesday. It was gathered that the former Governor had been undergoing interrogation since 11 am over issues relating to the management of resources during his term as the governor of Bayelsa state.
It was also gathered that Dickson was quizzed on allegations of false assets declaration, abuse of office, and misappropriation of public funds during his eight-year rule in the state between 2012 and 2020.
EFCC’s spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren has also confirmed the development. He, however fell short of disclosing the details of the interrogation.
