#Eid-el-Kabir: Kaduna Governor Urges Muslims to Embrace Sacrifice, Unity, and Compassion

As Muslims across the country mark Eid-el-Kabir, the Kaduna State Government has called on the faithful to emulate the virtues of self-sacrifice, obedience to divine guidance, and service to humanity, as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim.

The message was delivered shortly after the Eid prayers at the Sultan Bello Eid Ground, where the state leadership joined thousands in observing the festival’s rituals.

Speaking on the significance of the occasion, the Governor reminded worshippers that Eid-el-Kabir is not just a time of celebration, but a solemn reminder of the deep faith and obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim in his willingness to sacrifice his son in submission to the will of Allah.

He urged individuals, especially those blessed with wealth and resources, to share their blessings with the less privileged, highlighting the values of compassion and community support as central to the festival’s message.

The Governor further called for reflection on the festival’s true meaning — obedience, sacrifice, unity, and empathy — and encouraged citizens to carry these values into their everyday lives.

While reflecting on the progress made in the state, the Governor noted achievements in infrastructure, education, health, and security, emphasizing that these gains are being consolidated through continued commitment to good governance.

He appealed to residents to offer prayers for the continued peace and prosperity of Kaduna State and the nation, asking for divine guidance and wisdom to address the ongoing challenges in governance and development.

In his closing remarks, he urged the public to also intercede for the country’s leaders at all levels, especially the President, praying that they be granted strength and direction in their efforts to build a peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

The Governor concluded by wishing all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, and safe travels during the festive period.
