The redeployments include the removal of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shem Dauwa Yahaya from the Office of the Inspector-General of Police. CSP Yahaya, who served as Principal Staff Officer (PSO) III to the IGP and second-in-command to PSO II, ACP Yemisi Kuti, was reassigned to serve as Commanding Officer of Protect Base 6 in Port Harcourt. Sources allege Dauwa previously worked closely under ACP Kuti, described as a close ally of the former IGP.
