#EXCLUSIVE REPORT: Buhari’s Visit To Ogun State. (Videos, Audio, Photos).


President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived in Ogun State for the inauguration of some projects executed by the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.

Buhari, who arrived at 11.37am was received by Dapo Abiodun, Governors of Yobe, Ekiti, Ondo and Osun States and other top Government officials at Mojoda area in the Ijebu-Ode Council Area.

Buhari was dressed in flowing agbada made with the popular local Adire material.

The President immediately cut the tape for the inauguration of the 14 km Ijebu-Ode /Mojoda/Epe Expressway.

Buhari, during the visit, would inaugurate the 42km Sagamu Interchange–Abeokuta dual carriageway, which is now renamed as the President Muhammadu Buhari Expressway.

The President is expected to inaugurate two housing estates during the visit, the 527-Unit Low and Medium Housing scheme at Kobape in Obafemi-Owode Local Government and the 83 -Unit duplexes at Kings Court Estate at Oke Mosan, in Abeokuta.

Buhari is also scheduled to hold a stakeholders’ meeting at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta to end the visit.

The President, during his visit, will also attend a town hall meeting where he is expected to interact with stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Meanwhile, the ancient city of Abeokuta is wearing a new look with the highways, bridges and other major public institutions and places being beautifully decorated as part of arrangement to add colour to the programme.

The Federal Road Safety Corps and the state traffic monitoring and control agency had closed some major roads to traffic while they created and opened up alternative routes in the state.

Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his support in  the development of state project in the state, and the Lagos-Ibadan expressway ongoing project The Governor of Ogun state in his speech appreciate the President presence while giving him a panoramic view of  the five projects that have been scheduled for commissioning today

“The Gateway City Gate where we are now, for instance, is an iconic monument that not only beautifies the environment, but a reflection of the new approach to governance in the State. It symbolizes the convergence, harmony & unity amongst all the groups & sections of the State.”

“The Ijebu Ode-Epe Road, a Federal Road, is another strategic arterial road that links the Lekki / Epe corridor of Lagos State to the eastern corridor of Ogun State at Ijebu-Ode.”

With this road, socio-economic activities in the South East and South South zones of our country will receive a boost through the linkage of the road to Sagamu-Benin Expressway for easier access by motorists to Lagos, Nigeria’s largest economy.”

“In the same vein, the Sagamu Interchange-Abeokuta Road is 42km in length and is the main arterial road that leads to our Capital City. It is a dual carriageway with streetlights, median and other road furniture.”

“Mr. President, two of our many housing projects have been completed and ready for you to commission. Our affordable Housing Estate at Kobape in Abeokuta comprises of 526 units of 2 and 3-bedroom bungalows. The King’s Court at Oke-Mosan is a middle/high income Housing Estate…”
