Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has sparked controversy following remarks about his brother’s political stance and alleged motivations.
Speaking during an interview, Isaac claimed that his brother would be willing to align with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, if financial benefits were involved. He criticised what he described as a lack of principles in politics, questioning the long-term legacy of public figures.
He also made comments referencing national leadership and legacy, drawing comparisons that he said could affect how future generations remember current political figures, including Bola Tinubu.
Isaac Fayose further raised concerns about the judiciary, alleging that certain government actions were aimed at influencing court decisions. He also suggested that preparations for the 2027 elections may already be compromised, intensifying ongoing political debates.
The remarks come at a time of shifting alliances and rising political tension ahead of the next general elections, as key figures continue to reposition themselves across party lines.
Separately, Fayose publicly described Wike as a leading figure within the Peoples Democratic Party, stating that his influence in the party is a result of his contributions and leadership role.
