The Federal Government has reduced Hajj fares for Nigerian pilgrims ahead of the 2026 pilgrimage season.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) announced on Saturday that fares have been slashed by ₦200,000 across all categories following consultations and federal approval.
Maiduguri-Yola Zone (Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, Taraba): ₦8,118,333.67
Other Northern States: ₦8,244,813.60
Southern States: ₦8,561,013.67
This marks a drop from the previously tentative ₦8.5 million fare and last year’s charges, which ranged between ₦8.31 million and ₦8.76 million.
NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, confirmed that all intending pilgrims must complete payments by December 31, 2025.
The commission also revealed that agreements have been signed in Saudi Arabia with Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya (for Hajj services) and Daleel Al-Ma’aleem (for transportation).
