FIFA officials have voiced shock after comparing two $1.2 million mini stadiums built in Nigeria and Kenya. Despite identical budgets, the results are starkly different.

The Nigerian stadium, already completed, is smaller and less equipped, prompting doubts about construction quality and spending transparency. Meanwhile, Kenya’s still-unfinished project already shows superior design, modern facilities, and better seating.

FIFA representatives called the contrast “unbelievable” and hinted that oversight and budget management for such projects may need closer scrutiny. The situation has sparked fresh concerns about accountability in sports infrastructure spending.
