Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has expressed profound grief over a tragic accident involving a Kano Line passenger bus, which resulted in the death of 13 people and left five others injured.
The accident occurred shortly after the bus departed from the Ibrahim Dankwambo Mega Motor Park in Gombe, heading to Kano. Details of what caused the crash have not yet been released by authorities.

In a condolence statement issued by his Director-General of Press Affairs, Ismaila Misilli, the governor described the incident as a heartbreaking national tragedy.
“This is a deeply painful incident. Losing 13 lives in one crash is devastating,” Governor Yahaya said. “My heartfelt condolences go to the families of the deceased. I also pray for the quick and full recovery of those who were injured.”
The governor urged the affected families to find comfort in the will of Almighty Allah, who gives and takes life. He also extended sympathy to the management of Kano Line Transport Company and called for an immediate review of safety measures to prevent future road tragedies.

Governor Yahaya further appealed to motorists to strictly observe traffic rules and exercise maximum caution, especially during long-distance journeys.
“Road safety is a collective responsibility. We must all do our part to prevent avoidable accidents and protect lives,” he said.
On behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, the governor prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in peace and for Allah to comfort their families during this difficult time.
