Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has presented brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs to former deputy governors of the state in appreciation of their service and sacrifices.
The presentation took place on Thursday at Government House, Uyo, where Governor Eno described the gesture as a token of gratitude for their past contributions to the state’s growth and development.
He noted that the former deputies, at different times, played vital roles in shaping the state and therefore deserved comfort and recognition.
“Our administration remains committed to the welfare of Akwa Ibom people across all sectors. We also pray that God will bless and keep our former deputy governors in good health so that we may continue to tap from their wealth of wisdom,” he said.
Those who received the SUVs included Etim Okpoyo, Valerie Ebe, Moses Ekpo, and Nsima Ekere.
In his remarks, Nsima Ekere thanked Governor Eno for the kind gesture and pledged his continued support for the successful implementation of the governor’s ARISE Agenda.
