Nigerian activist and prominent Peter Obi supporter, Aisha Yesufu, has firmly declared her opposition to any 2027 presidential ticket that names Obi as a running mate.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu voiced her displeasure over the recurring political trend of relegating strong, capable individuals — including women — to subordinate roles. She argued that Peter Obi possesses the leadership qualities necessary to lead a presidential ticket and should not be considered for the vice-presidential slot.
Yesufu stressed that her position stems from a broader concern about the systemic sidelining of influential figures and the need to ensure that those with proven capacity, like Obi, are not diminished politically.
