Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has declared that his sole focus is helping Nigeria lift the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations trophy, as the team prepares for a high-stakes semi-final against hosts Morocco.
The Atalanta forward has been one of Nigeria’s standout performers in Morocco, scoring three goals and showcasing one of the best international spells of his career.
“I’m always focused on the present and, at the moment, the present is being here in Morocco for AFCON and trying to help my country win the tournament. All the experiences are in the past,” the 27-year-old told Footy Africa.

Nigeria enters the semi-final as the tournament’s most potent attacking side, with 14 goals in five matches, combining flair and efficiency while conceding just four goals and keeping two clean sheets.
The team’s attacking edge has been driven by the dynamic trio of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Alex Iwobi, with Akor Adams providing strong support.
