Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of orchestrating the arrest of her elder brother and sister to force her into returning home and entering a rehabilitation programme.
In a series of emotional Instagram stories on Monday evening, Regina cried for help, writing: “Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind… My big brother and sister have been arrested, and my baby sister might be next until I return to rehab.”
The actress, whose marital issues with Nwoko have recently gone public, accused him of calling her a drug addict and attempting to control her life. “Leave my family alone, Ned! And leave me alone too!” she pleaded.
Her brother, known as Sir.Sammywest on Instagram, confirmed their arrest, posting: “Dem say na Ned send dem. Currently at Ogombo station.”
Senator Nwoko had earlier claimed Regina was battling drug and alcohol addiction, alleging “violent and erratic behaviour” in a statement titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage And Rampage In My House And In My Absence.” He said he feared for her safety and wanted her to continue rehab, either in Abuja or abroad.
The controversy follows a viral video showing Regina distressed and fainting, lamenting: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a queen. I can’t stand the violence—it’s too much.”
