### INSECURITY WAR: NAF WIPES OUT KATSINA TERRORIST ENCLAVES, PREVENTED BOKO HARAM ATTACK IN BORNO.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the successful execution of coordinated precision airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Katsina and foiling a planned ISWAP/Boko Haram attack in Chibok, Borno State.

In a statement released on Sunday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, said the air operations were part of an expanded counterterrorism effort across the North-West and North-East regions.

According to the statement, NAF fighter jets carried out two major interdictions on November 27, 2025, under Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sector 2.
The first strike, launched around 6:30 a.m., focused on the fortified base of a notorious terrorist commander responsible for widespread kidnappings, attacks, and cattle rustling across Kankara, Faskari, and Malumfashi LGAs.

Real-time intelligence and surveillance guided the aircraft, enabling precise destruction of the camp and follow-up engagements as surviving fighters attempted to escape.

A second strike, carried out at about 5:55 p.m., hit another significant hideout in Danfako, Faskari LGA. The operation destroyed several structures, logistics hubs, equipment, and other infrastructure, eliminating multiple terrorists and further destabilising their operations in the region.

NAF also intervened during a multi-front attack launched by ISWAP/Boko Haram on Chibok.
Ground troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade, under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), had already confronted the insurgents when air support was deployed.

“Four major airstrikes were delivered based on real-time intelligence, targeting regrouping insurgents along their escape paths,” the statement noted.
Additional precision hits on fleeing fighters disrupted their withdrawal and crippled their ability to reorganize.

The Air Force said the joint air–ground response ensured heavy losses for the terrorists and prevented the assault from gaining any ground.

NAF reaffirmed its commitment to sustained, intelligence-led operations aimed at neutralising threats and supporting other security agencies in restoring peace and stability nationwide.
