#IPMAN Alerts FG When Private Tank Owners Increase Fuel Prices

The Kano State chapter of the Independent Association of Petroleum Traders of Nigeria, IPMAN, on Friday alerted the Federal Government to the impending fuel crisis in the country following the decision by some private tank owners to independently increase prices. of the product.

Alhaji Bashir Danmallam, president of IPMAN, Kano chapter, stated this in a statement issued on Friday.

Danmallam said some of the private tank owners had raised the price of fuel from N148 per liter to between N153 and N155 per liter since last week.

According to him, the association considered it necessary to alert the government so as not to blame its members if they increase the price of fuel, since they would not operate at a loss.

The statement read: “Some private tank owners are trying to sabotage the federal government by unilaterally increasing their prices even though the government has not raised the price of the fuel pump.

“We are also asking the NNPC Administration to investigate the problem, as some of the private tank owners have increased the price since Friday of last week from N148 per liter to between N153 and N155 per liter. We know that only the Federal Government imports fuel into the country.

“As I speak to you, private warehouse owners in Warri, Calabar Lagos and Oghara in Delta State have raised their prices. We hope that the NNPC leadership will investigate and intervene. “
