Irele Tower has officially opened in the Lagos Free Trade Zone, adding new office capacity as the Lekki corridor continues to grow and attract fresh investment.
The nine-storey building provides about 12,000 square metres of office and retail space, helping meet rising demand from both local and international companies looking to operate close to key port, logistics, and industrial infrastructure.

Designed as an EDGE-certified structure by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the tower focuses on efficiency and sustainability. It is built to use about 26% less energy and 46% less water compared to conventional buildings, while also offering improved indoor conditions for occupants.

Managing Director of Lagos Free Zone Company, Adesuwa Ladoja, said the project reflects the zone’s goal of creating a fully integrated business hub driven by strong infrastructure, strategic location, and efficient logistics. She noted that demand for modern, high-quality office spaces has risen alongside growing investor interest in the Lekki axis.
Managing Director and CEO of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Yemisi Edun, said the bank’s early support for the project shows its confidence in the long-term potential of the zone. She added that Irele Tower highlights what can be achieved through coordinated financing and development, and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting continued growth, especially following its recapitalisation.
