It would endanger Israel’s existence’: Netanyahu rejects recognition of Palestinian state by Western leaders By

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday firmly rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state, issuing a pointed message to Britain, Australia, and Canada after they formally recognised Palestinian statehood.

“The creation of a Palestinian state would endanger Israel’s survival,” Netanyahu said. “I have a clear message for those leaders who recognise a Palestinian state after the horrific massacre on October 7: you are granting a huge reward to terror. And I have another message for you: it will not happen. No Palestinian state will be established west of the Jordan River.”

The Israeli leader also pledged to further expand Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, declaring that his government had “doubled Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria” and would “continue on this path.”

“For years, I have prevented the creation of this terror state despite enormous pressure both domestically and internationally,” he added.

Britain, Australia, and Canada on Sunday became the first three Western nations to jointly recognise a Palestinian state. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the move, praising it as a “courageous” decision and urging other countries, especially the United States, to follow suit.
