IT’S OFF MY CALLING’: BISHOP OYEDEPO OPENS UP PLAN TO JOIN POLITICS IF OFFERED $1BN

The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC), Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo, has declared that not even $1 billion could entice him into politics.

He made the statement while delivering the impartation message at Shiloh 2025, the church’s annual convocation, held at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.

Addressing congregants, Oyedepo encouraged members to remain focused on their God-given callings, emphasizing that real influence and dominion come from walking in one’s divinely assigned purpose.

“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he asked.
“Partisan politics is not part of my calling. Even if you offered me $1 billion, I would not enter politics because it is outside my divine course.”

He also spoke about the urgency of the times, noting that the world is in desperate need of spiritual intervention.

“The world is groaning in darkness, but as Romans 8:19 states, the whole creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God,” Oyedepo said.

The bishop added that believers are being prepared as an end-time army to address national and global challenges, likening them to biblical leaders such as Joseph and Daniel.

“God’s army is emerging to provide solutions to crises in the manner of Joseph and Daniel. These are unprecedented days—days of things that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard,” he remarked.

His message underscored the importance of avoiding worldly distractions and remaining committed to fulfilling God’s assignment, which, according to him, equips believers to positively influence their communities and nations.
