JUMMAT MUBARAK! 20TH OF RABEE’L THAANI 1448 AH (2ND OCTOBER 2026) AND A DAY OF JUMU’AH (FRIDAY)

🌙 Jumu’ah Mubarak!

May Allah accept our worship, overlook our shortcomings, and grant us a Friday filled with blessings we recognize and those we don’t.

Alhamdulillah for another Jumu’ah.

Our Lord, remove every barrier standing in the way of the good we seek. Always guide us towards what is best for us, and grant us breakthroughs and victories over every trial and tribulation we face in this world. Make our affairs easy and bless us with goodness in all that we pursue. Ameen. Juma’at Mubarak.

What is Afiyah?
The SHORTEST POWERFUL PRAYER
Al-Abbas (R.A.), the uncle of the Prophet (ﷺ), came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:
“Ya Rasulullah, teach me a du’a.”
The Prophet ( ﷺ) said:
“O my uncle, say:
ALLAHUMMA INNI AS’ ALUKA AL’AFIYAH
(O Allah, I ask you for afiyah).
Know what is Afiyah?
Afiyah means –

● To be saved from any afflictions, you are in afiyah.
● To be healthy, you are in afiyah.
● To have enough money, you are in afiyah.
● To live, you are in afiyah.
● To have your children protected, you are in afiyah.
●And if you are forgiven and not punished, you are in afiyah.
So basically, Afiyah means:
“O Allah, protect me from any pain and sufferings.”
This includes both dun’ya and akhirah.

Al-Abbas (R.A.) thought about this for a while, and then he came back after a few days and said (paraphrased):
Ya Rasulullah, this du’a seems a little short. I want something big.”
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“My dear uncle, ask Allah for Afiyah for Wallahi, you cannot be given anything better than afiyah.”
It is a simple du’a.
Sincerely mean what you say while praying.
“O Allah, I ask You to be saved from any:
distress,
grief,
hardship,
harm, and
don’t test me, etc.”
All of this is included in
“Allahumma inni as’aluka al’afiyah”*
(Riyadh As Saliheen, Sunan At-Tirmidhi).
Make sure to share this to others and tell r friends:

Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) said :
“Convey from me, even if it is one verse.”
May ALLAH accept all our prayers.Ameen.

Share this, Baarakallaah Feekum: [“One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer” – Saheeh Muslim vol.3, no.4665]

Short Jummat Prayer

Ya Allah,
On this blessed Jummat, pour Your mercy upon us.
Where there is struggle, grant ease; where there is delay, send divine speed.
Open doors of goodness and close every path of harm.
Forgive our sins, bless our families, and fill our hearts with peace and light.

“Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.” — [Surah Hud 11:61]

Ameen.

O ALLAH, protect us from poverty and hardship, bless us in what You have provided, and guide us to show gratitude for Your blessings and to use them in obedience to You. Enrich our hearts with contentment and keep us away from the humiliation of need. Grant us strength to uplift others in their struggles, and make us among those who spend in Your cause with sincerity and wisdom. AMIN ALLAH

JUMM’AH MUBARAK🕋

The Book of Dress – Kitab al-Libas

Narrated Abu `Uthman:

While we were with `Utba. `Umar wrote to us: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, *”There is none who wears silk in this world except that he will wear nothing of it in the Hereafter.”*’ Abu `Uthman pointed out with his middle and index fingers.

This hadith has also been narrated by Abu `Uthman.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5830

NOTE

1. Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen in his commentary of this hadith explained that it provides evidence that wearing silk is one of the major sins, because it carries a specific threat of punishment in the Hereafter. Every sin for which a specific punishment is prescribed in this world or the Hereafter is considered one of the major sins. — Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari, Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen

2. The Shaykh also explained that the hadith warns that whoever wears silk in this world will have *“no share”* in the Hereafter. Some scholars understood this literally as meaning such a person will not enter Paradise, while others understood it to mean that he may enter Paradise but will be deprived of wearing silk there. This warning applies to someone who dies without repenting; sincere repentance removes the sin, as Allah says that He forgives all sins for those who repent. The discussion concerns natural silk produced by silkworms. — Sharh Riyadh as-Saliheen, Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen

3. As for synthetic silk, the Shaykh explained that it is not prohibited because it is not genuine silk. Nevertheless, he considers it inappropriate for men to wear it prominently because of the softness and appearance associated with women’s clothing, particularly shirts and head coverings. Wearing synthetic silk in less visible items, such as a cap or trousers, is permissible. He also recommends avoiding it publicly so that people do not mistake it for natural silk and assume that wearing genuine silk is permissible for men. — Sharh Riyadh as-Saliheen, Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen

O Allah, adorn us with the beauty of faith, make our clothing a means of covering and well-being, purify our hearts from arrogance and pride, and grant us humility and piety. Make Your blessings upon us a means of helping us obey You, and do not make them a cause of conceit or extravagance. Ãmeen
