Dangote Refinery has announced a new gantry price of N820 per litre as it rolls out a direct petrol distribution initiative beginning Monday, September 15, 2025.
The announcement, made via the refinery’s official Twitter handle on Thursday, September 11, revealed that retail pump prices will differ across states.
Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti: N841 per litre
Abuja, Delta, Rivers, Edo, and Kwara: N851 per litre
This translates to a N19 reduction for consumers in Lagos and South-West states, and N34 reduction for those in Abuja, North-Central, and South-South regions.
The refinery also confirmed that petrol station owners nationwide will enjoy free delivery once registered, with the direct supply scheme starting in selected states before expanding nationwide.
“All petrol station owners are encouraged to register for free delivery and related benefits,” the statement added.
The development comes just hours after the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) placed its members on “red alert,” accusing Dangote Group of breaching an earlier agreement reached with the federal government.
In response, the Dangote Group maintained that it respects workers’ right to voluntary union membership.
