JUST IN: FG adopts online exams for NSCDC, NIS, fire service recruitment

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that all shortlisted applicants for its ongoing recruitment will now take their tests online.

According to a statement by the Board’s Secretary, retired Major General A. M. Jibril, the recruitment portal will close on Friday, November 7, 2025, while the online test will hold from Wednesday, November 12 to Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

The statement clarified that there will be no physical CBT centres, urging candidates to visit recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng to confirm their status and view their test schedules.

“All applicants are to note that the examination will be conducted exclusively online. All previously assigned CBT centres have been cancelled,” the Board said.

The test link will be released a day before the exam begins, and applicants are advised to ensure they have reliable internet access and suitable devices to participate.

Major General Jibril assured the public that the process remains fair and transparent, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to merit-based recruitment.

The ongoing exercise seeks to fill positions in the four paramilitary agencies under the CDCFIB — the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service, and Correctional Service — as part of efforts to strengthen national security.

Over 1.9 million Nigerians reportedly applied before the recruitment portal closed on August 11.
