Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has appointed Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
The appointment follows the redeployment of former spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi to the Delta State Command.
Hundeyin, a graduate of English Language from Lagos State University, holds a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He also earned a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.
A seasoned communicator, Hundeyin is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
He has previously served as PPRO at Zone 2 Command and the Lagos State Police Command, and was part of Nigeria’s contingent to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. He also worked at the Force Headquarters in Abuja as an Administration Officer in the Public Relations Department.
The IGP charged Hundeyin to leverage his vast experience in communication and security to further strengthen the image of the Nigeria Police Force and maintain a strong relationship with the public.
