President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after spending two weeks in Lagos.
He departed the state on Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 2025, accompanied to the airport by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
President Tinubu had arrived in Lagos on May 26, 2025. During his stay, he participated in several official engagements, including the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
On Saturday, May 31, he commissioned a number of major infrastructure projects. These include:
- Section I of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway
- Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road
- The flag-off of Section II of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway
- The 7th Axial Road
He also commissioned several projects virtually, such as:
- Kano-Kanwar-Danja-Hadejiya Section II Road
- Yakasai-Zalli Road
- The flag-off of Kano Northern Bypass
- Zaria-Hunkuyi-Dabai Section I
- Dabai-Kafur-Malumfashi Road
- Malumfashi-Dayi-Yashe-Gidan Mutum Daya Section III
In addition, the president observed the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House Mosque, located at Dodan Barracks.
