President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with members of the Supreme Council of Sharia in Nigeria.
The president received the Islamic leaders inside the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
The details of the meeting is yet to be made public as of the time of writing this report.
The Supreme Council of Sharia is a body of Islamic scholars and leaders in Nigeria. It was founded in 1990 to promote the teachings of Islam and to defend the rights of Muslims in Nigeria.
Sheikh AbdurRashid Hadiyatullah is the current president of the council.
