Kwankwaso made the statement on Saturday during the APC presidential campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna State, where he described the large turnout as evidence of the region’s support for the president.

He said the gathering demonstrated the North-West’s political position ahead of the 2027 general election, insisting that supporters in the region remained committed to Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
According to Kwankwaso, the president’s leadership represents an opportunity to promote national unity and ensure balanced development across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
He argued that Tinubu’s administration was committed to the fair distribution of national resources, adding that all regions should benefit from the country’s development efforts.

The APC chieftain also dismissed suggestions that northern support for Tinubu was based solely on political interests. He maintained that the region should honour its political commitment as the next presidential election approaches.
Kwankwaso expressed confidence that Tinubu’s supporters in the North-West would translate their declared support into votes in 2027.

He further urged political leaders and stakeholders across the country to prioritise national unity, cooperation and collective progress over narrow political interests.
Kwankwaso concluded that the Kaduna rally had demonstrated the enthusiasm of Tinubu’s supporters in the region, expressing confidence that the political mobilisation would continue ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
