KANO APC REFUTES CLAIMS OF INFLUENCING COURT PROCEEDING

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has rejected claims by the Kwankwasiyya faction of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) that the state government tried to influence court proceedings. The party described the allegations as false, defamatory, and lacking any credible evidence.

In a statement from APC spokesperson Auwalu Soja Gwale, the party denied that the Kano State Government paid money to sway the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja. APC has given the NNPP faction 72 hours to retract the claims, issue a public apology, and avoid making similar accusations, warning that failure to comply could lead to legal action for defamation.

The APC criticized what it called a pattern of “reckless rhetoric” by some NNPP members when political results do not go their way. The party also urged the Kwankwasiyya faction to focus on resolving its internal leadership disputes instead of making baseless claims.

Reaffirming its respect for judicial independence, the APC asked the public to disregard the allegations, insisting they are entirely unfounded.
