Kano Police Dismiss Rumors of Attack on Igbo Passengers

 

The Kano State Police Command has debunked reports claiming that an 18-seater bus carrying Igbo passengers was attacked and set ablaze in Kano. The police confirmed that no such incident occurred and labeled the circulating reports as false and misleading.

Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa urged the public to disregard the misinformation and avoid spreading unverified news that could incite panic or ethnic tension. Security agencies remain on high alert to maintain peace and stability in the state.

Meanwhile, community leaders have called for unity and urged authorities to thoroughly investigate recent security concerns, particularly in light of recent incidents in Edo State. The police reassured residents of their commitment to ensuring safety and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities through official channels.
