Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, was involved in another confrontation at the National Assembly on Monday, February 16, 2026—this time at the office of Senator Titus Zam, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the North Central Development Commission.

Sources within the Assembly said the incident followed a budget defence session of the committee earlier that day, scheduled for 10 a.m. The meeting had reportedly concluded before Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived.

Upon reaching the venue and discovering the session had ended, the senator proceeded to the committee chairman’s office, accompanied by her legislative aides, to seek clarification.
Eyewitnesses alleged that tension escalated after she was denied entry into the office, leading to a heated exchange involving members of staff and individuals in the senator’s entourage.

During the commotion, one of the senator’s aides was accused of physically confronting a staff member attached to the chairman’s office, prompting immediate intervention by National Assembly security personnel.
The situation was eventually brought under control, though the exact trigger of the altercation remains unclear.

Video footage circulating online shows the tense scene outside the committee chairman’s office.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Senator Titus Zam, or the Senate leadership regarding Monday’s incident.

The event adds to a series of recent disputes involving the Kogi Central lawmaker during Senate proceedings. Last week, she had a tense exchange with Senator Patrick Ndubueze, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Steel Development, during an interactive session with the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu.

The disagreement arose when Ndubueze attempted to conclude the minister’s appearance, while Akpoti-Uduaghan insisted on continuing her remarks, describing the action as disrespectful before walking out of the session.
Further developments are awaited as the National Assembly continues its legislative activities.
