The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Binani Air Global Services, clearing the airline to begin scheduled flight operations.

During the certificate presentation in Abuja, NCAA Director-General, Capt. Chris Najomo, praised the airline’s resilience, calling the milestone historic and highlighting its emergence as a female-led airline in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Capt. Najomo commended the airline’s owner, Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Binani, and her management team for their persistence in navigating the certification process, noting their diligence in meeting every requirement and overcoming all challenges.

He emphasized that obtaining the AOC is only the start of a more demanding journey, urging the airline to maintain strong planning, professionalism, and strict adherence to safety and operational standards, as there is no room for shortcuts in aviation.

Sen. Binani expressed appreciation to the NCAA for their guidance, describing the certification process as challenging but rewarding. She also acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo for fostering an enabling environment that contributed to the airline’s achievement.
