The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that 286,697 candidates have been shortlisted to participate in its recruitment aptitude test, scheduled to run from September 14 to 21, 2025. The test will be conducted online via a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
According to the NCS, candidates must use a laptop or desktop computer with a functioning webcam, as mobile phones will not be supported. Facial verification will be required at login, and applicants are advised to appear neat and ensure they are clearly visible on camera.
The Service also emphasized the strict nature of the test rules. The system will automatically detect noise, excessive movement, or attempts to switch browser windows. Anyone caught violating these rules risks immediate disqualification.
To help candidates familiarize themselves with the platform, a compulsory pre-test session will be held two days before the main exam. Shortlisted applicants will receive two separate links via email—one for the practice test and another for the final examination.
While all shortlisted candidates will sit for the CBT, those applying for the Superintendent Cadre will take an additional test in a later round, unlike applicants for the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant roles.
The NCS reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free and strictly merit-based. Applicants are urged to disregard any demands for payment or unofficial recruitment notices circulating on social media, as all authentic updates will only be released through the Service’s official channels.
