Nigerians React to President Tinubu’s Handwriting Display.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stirred diverse reactions after showcasing his handwriting on social media. On Friday, Tinubu shared a Facebook post about his visit to Kaduna State, where he attended the wedding of Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s son and paid a condolence visit to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his post, Tinubu wrote:

“Today, I paid my second visit to Kaduna in as many months. Whilst in Kaduna, I visited the family of my brother, friend, and our late leader, President Muhammadu Buhari.

I assured them that his legacy of dedication, patriotism, and service would be preserved and carried forward. I also joined Senator Abdulaziz Yari and his family at the wedding of his son, Nasirudeen, and Safiyya Shehu Idris at Sultan Bello Mosque. I prayed for the young couple to build their home on faith, love, and mutual respect. May their union be blessed. Kaduna will always hold a special place in our nation’s story. In sharing grief and celebrating joy today, I was reminded once again of the values that bind us together as Nigerians: faith, resilience, and unity of purpose. May God help Nigeria, keep us united, and guide us always.”

Accompanying the post were images, including one showing Tinubu’s handwritten note in the visitor’s book at Buhari’s residence:

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Another condolence visit to my family. May my big brother continue to rest in Aljannah firdausi…”

The president’s handwriting sparked varied reactions online. Some Nigerians praised his penmanship, with Ambassador Dignity Usenekong noting, “His handwriting is finer than that of so many graduates of these days.” Ezza Maximus Ifrem added humorously, “But this Papa go school wella. See him Harvard handwriting and signature.”

Others highlighted Tinubu’s use of a green pen. Harbeorlah Lewandowski commented, “The only person that has the power to use green pen is PRESIDENT. I love this JAGABAN handwriting.”

However, not all feedback was positive. Muhammad Usman Sulaiman questioned if the handwriting was truly Tinubu’s, suggesting Vice President Kashim Shettima’s might be better. Ortyom Terks remarked, “Them draw lines for a clean write-up, you go dey write anyhow. You no even send that one. Kai Bubu.”

Some users teased the president’s style. Omatola De Great quipped, “No wonder things aren’t straight… the way that ‘d’ stands so, e no go oo.” Bammy Okobe jokingly asked, “Baba tell me truth, na you use dat your hand take write this kind fine writing? I know say nothing fine fit come out from dat your hand, Chief.”

Meanwhile, Nkeki J. Ndirmbitah was intrigued by the green pen, asking, “I never see this type of pen before. Where did you buy it, Oga Presdo?”
